Use Connexions

Joining our movement is very simple, all you have to do is get involved in forming communities for

• using,
• adapting,
• sharing,
• and enhancing content

on the Connexions website (cnx.org).

Workgroup / Communities

We would love to see teachers working together to support each other, discussing classroom and curriculum issues, sharing content and collaboratively authoring content. The Connexions platform supports workgroups and discussion forums and is a tool which can help with both community- and content-development.

Use our content

To help you get started we have put content on Connexions that you are welcome to use as you please, so long as you credit the original source. The content has been grouped by

Content in a lens

learning area and phase and you can find the various lists (called lenses) on http://siyavula.cnx.org/lenses/siyavula.

Choose your subject and phase and then go to our list (lens) and then use the criteria to filter the content to meet your needs. Resources include:

• textbooks,
• workbooks,
• activities,
• and more.

Providing feedback, adapting content and forming workgroups

If you find content that isn’t quite right, create an account and then you can copy and modify the content on the site, you can also share it back so that others can benefit. Creating an account also allows you to

• rate content,
• send feedback to authors,
• create workgroups,
• participate in forum discussions,
• upload your own resources from Word or OpenOffice,
• edit existing resources,
• create your own lenses and more!
